"deadcrow" is an organization "founded" in early 2016 by virgil warren and floyd tangeman. at the time, we just wanted to make up a fake publishing name to put out our zines under.
however, the idea behind it had "changed," or maybe changed isnt a good word, because there wasnt neccesarily a concrete idea behind th name and idea of "deadcrow" as an organization in the first place.
so, maybe the word "accrued" works better. "deadcrow" accrued new meaning as the name stuck, being that it was the only "fake" publishing venture around.
as I (floyd tangeman) write this now, deadcrow exists as and in a nebulous metaphysical space of ideology. we are a loosely fitted band of anarchists, criminals, punks, philosophers, businesspeople, and always artists.
we publish our comic, 'tinfoil comix," and we hope to publish more and more titles and begin distributing titles more and more as well. the central ethos behind deadcrow will and always be to exist outside of dogmatic structures of thought.
as dogmatic structures of thoughts change, so too will the structure of deadcrow. dogmatic ideas will always be impossible to fully put your finger on, as these ideas are literally living, breathing, alive, and in a million places at once.
yet so too will the ideas that deadcrow advocates for at least try to be, however, they will always stand in sharp resistance to each other.
so. this website is merely an extension and a more tightly tethered collection that tries to show what deadcrow is and can be. there are many resources available on this site, you might have to dig around a bit, but thats the idea, and i will add more and more different resources to this site as time goes by. one of the biggest goals of deadcrow as an organization is to expand the knowledge of underground, alternative, and experimental media, and to also expand the advancement of said media. we are staunchly idealistic, and sometimes this is to our downfall. however, we stand now as a form of resistance to all that attempts to wipe out our individuality and ourselves.
